Platform-Architect / Owner - ServiceNow

Job Description The ServiceNow Platform -Architect / -Owner is a key leader who owns the ServiceNow Platform. This is a technical position where the individual must have an in-depth understanding of the capabilities, components, architecture, technologies and processes managed through the ServiceNow Platform. Beyond the exciting technology, we offer the opportunity to work with different Business- and IT- stakeholders to define, build and mature the foundation for IT Service Management, IT Operations Management, IT Asset Management, IT Portfolio Management and GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) managed through ServiceNow. Your Role, Activities & Tasks: Overall accountability for the ServiceNow Platform, you are responsible for defining and communicating the product- vision, architecture and delivery roadmap; You coordinate with key collaborators to inform the product vision, backlog prioritization and delivery releases. You are responsible for the Product Life Cycle of the ServiceNow Platform including product & platform updates and upgrades; Manage and steer together with the Business & IT- Owners the Demand impacting the ServiceNow Platform or components; Delivery of ServiceNow based Projects including the scoping, design, implementation, mentoring Developers and Platform Engineers, ensure value realization, manage the ServiceNow Vendor & Implementation Partners relationship; Responsibility of overall quality & governance of our ServiceNow Platform, you define and implement our quality- & governance- process, policies, and standards. Ensure all technical and functional work meets the quality standards before it reaches production; Be a leader who drives the exploration, evolution and implementation of smart, sustainable, and scalable technical solutions to support our Enterprise Architecture Strategy; Establish and support the definition and execution of non-functional requirements (NFRs) and capabilities like security, scalability of the solutions, fit-for-purpose architecture in alignment with our enterprise architecture principles and -standards; Constantly assess and evaluate software architectures, technologies, methods, tools and strategies for improving efficiency and reusability. Requirements 5+ years of proven experience with ServiceNow Platform, ITSM and ITOM Modules, ITIL; Expert level skills and delivering features on ServiceNow modules and features in full stack environments. ServiceNow system administration, development, implementation, and/or architecture certifications a plus; Experience with the most common web development languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, C#; Experience working with a global team and organization; Understanding of design thinking techniques including Persona's, Journey Maps; Strong leadership skills in driving engagement, adoption and change for processes and technology; Experience with SDLC processes and implementation, DevOps-, CI/CD-, Quality Assurance Practice, Test-Automation, Code & Architecture Reviews; Proactive and motivated to learn new things, open to collaborate across multiple, internal and external development teams / integration partners and business stakeholders; Experience building Platform roadmaps and aligning with Enterprise Architecture and IT strategy; Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences; Excellent English oral and written communication skills, German is a plus.
