Legal Counsel Data Privacy (Rotkreuz)
The Legal Counsel Data Privacy provides legal advice and guidance to Roche Diagnostics businesses on data privacy and information technology legal matters, including data privacy compliance requirements.
The role responsibilities will include:
Coordinate legal support for IT and Big Data projects
Assist in developing, implementing and communicating data privacy strategies for Roche Diagnostics businesses together with other data privacy lawyers and senior leadership
Support implementation and maintenance of General Data Protection Regulation principles and processes in Roche Diagnostics businesses
Assist in drafting and negotiating agreements that include data privacy and data security questions, including IT license agreements, R&D agreements, clinical research agreements and IT procurement agreements
Develop, implement and communicate data privacy policies within Roche Diagnostics businesses
Educate and train Roche employees in data privacy and IT law & drive alignment on data privacy questions across Roche legal departments
Actively maintain and assist in coordinating networks of data privacy lawyers in and outside of Roche

You are an open-minded person with university degree in law with Bar Exam and at least 4 years of work experience in a legal department of a multinational group and/or an international law firm. You have a strong affinity for information technology and ability to understand highly complex technical issues, particularly relating to IT, web and cloud solutions. The knowledge of Swiss and EU data privacy and IT laws combined with strong analytical and negotiating skills are desired.
You will also bring the following skills and experience:
Fluent in English on a business level with excellent verbal and written skills; German is a plus; other languages welcome, but not required
Pro-active and confident individual who is committed to driving change with ability to communicate complex and highly technical information clearly and concisely
Commitment to work as a team player in a multinational legal department with excellent interpersonal skills and high cross-cultural sensitivity
