Head of CIO Office

CONTEXT & MISSION :

The Head of CIO office's mission is to assist L'Occitane en Provence CIO in the IT department governance oversight: strategic planning, projects portfolio management and budget management. The main goal is to ensure that the focus of IT resources is in line with the brand strategy and business priorities.

As a member of the IT board, the position is also in charge of the IT board "rituals" , and fosters a smooth collaboration between the different VP's and regional IT leaders. She/He interacts with a variety of populations across the company from the CEO to hands-on developers, but also business unit leaders, finance, procurement or HR teams.

The role also conducts miscellaneous job-related tasks like supporting HR processes, taking part in the definition of a Green IT strategy, or supporting teams in the adoption of a new way-of-working (Agile & Lean).

The Head Of CIO office manages 1 FTE, and brings coordination to a global team made of central & regional members whose purpose is to pilot worldwide IT activities while adapting ways of working to local & regional contexts.

Location: Plan-Les-Ouates (near Geneva).

Reporting to: CIO L'Occitane en Provence

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

IT strategy alignment with business priorities:

  • Involvement in the IT strategic committee including L'Occitane executives to define a common vision of the business priorities
  • Together with the IT board, active part in the definition of a 3-year transformation map in alignment with the brand business strategy

Program & project portfolio management:

  • Set up and continuously adapt the project prioritization processes both at strategic and tactical levels.
  • Ensure thoses processes are adopted by group executives and business units, by proving their contribution to maximizing the delivered value
  • Set up a portfolio management framework enabling IT teams to define quarterly roadmaps, and then follow up risks & dependencies in alignment with group business priorities
  • Ensure the effective delivered value is measured to engage all teams in a learning and continuous improvement mindset

Budget management:

  • Manage the global IT budget (80M€+) and ensure continuous collaboration with the finance department
  • Run the internal recharge process and IT cost allocations across all BU's
  • Oversee IT procurement activities and strategic partnership program with suppliers

HOW YOU CAN FIT :

  • 10-15 years of experience in IT with project/portfolio management and budget management with a proven record of focusing on users experience and needs
  • Practical experience with agility at scale, beyond theoretical concepts such as SCRUM master or SaFE.
  • Fluent in both English & French, any other language is a plus
  • A strong leadership attitude with demonstrated humility and strong collaborative skills, with the ability to co-create strategies and work effectively across diverse departments
  • Excellent communication skills, with a capacity to clearly articulate complex concepts and explain IT issues in an accessible and compelling way to senior stakeholders
  • Strong change management skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership
  • As an actor of change, they shall know how to strive for adhesion instead of policy coercion

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, using data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement
