IT Service and Support Specialist

Job description:

You will join an international team responsible for encouraging innovation and adoption of next technology in Central Banks, operating a modern Azure cloud-only IT environment bringing in subject matter experts to lead and execute experimental initiatives.

Specifically joining a team responsible for strategy and operations in multiple locations, you directly contribute to achieving operational excellence and providing L2/L1 support to end users in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, as well as coordinate user training and new joiner onboarding.

Responsibilities include:

End User Support

  • Responsible for managing the delivery of IT support services by prioritising and processing our support backlog queue.
  • Assistance with coordination and support of rollouts (hardware, services, software).

On- and offboarding / Trainings

  • Act as a backup for personnel onboarding and offboarding and support during peak times. This involves coordination with central IT and HR functions, and BISIH Centres, requirements management for IT access, hardware etc. Responsible for on- and offboarding of external BIS Innovation Network members and provide technical assistance with onboarding issues.
  • Conduct new joiners training and maintain a high level of security awareness in a multidisciplinary and high turnover environment.

Process Optimization and Knowledge Base Management

  • Actively contribute to and maintain the BISIH knowledge base content, to ensure an up-to-date database for staff to seek relevant information for their day-to-day work.
  • Proactive identification of process automation opportunities, draft and design processes to enhance the efficiency of the unit and lower the administrative overhead and human errors in the execution of the repetitive tasks.
  • Work with IT and Security teams across the Bank to ensure effective incident, request, cyber issue management.
About the customer:

This is an initial contract running for 12 months starting years with strong likelihood to extend on a long-term basis (up to max five years) based on the project road maps, with start date by January 2026.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will possess as many of the following skills as possible:

  • Minimum of five years' experience in a role with direct customer contact, preferably in an international environment providing L2 (and L1) support
  • Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience (IT support/service desk etc).
  • Experienced with Windows 11, Office Desktop applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams) to conduct troubleshooting and support.
  • Experience with Office 365 Online services (Planner, Sharepoint) Online services to conduct troubleshooting, support, and creation of collaboration spaces.
  • Experience with the Azure ecosystem from a support perspective (user and group management, activity log analysis, entitlement management, privilege elevation management, external identities (b2b), single-sign on, azure compliance management).
  • Outstanding customer service skills with a proactive service orientation.
  • Fluency in English

Please note interviews would be conducted via video call (two stages), however the role is based 100% in Switzerland. Our client offers:
