Most notably, Novaccess is working on one of the world’s largest markets in the remote monitoring of fire alarm systems.

Backend Software Engineer

Your profile

You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in software engineering or an equivalent degree.

You are a motivated, open-minded and sociable person. You have a good sense of priorities. You are quick-minded, versatile, flexible, autonomous, organized, precise, curious, and you like to work within a team developing ambitious and innovative products. You have good communication skills and are fluent in French and English. You can work under pressure and meet deadlines. 

You are a Swiss resident or have a valid working permit for Switzerland.

 

Your  mission

You will work within the Novaccess technical team in Yverdon (7 engineers) where you will deal with the development of innovative software solutions in an agile environment and will have to:

• Collaborate in the design of solutions meeting provided specifications 
• Develop, debug and maintain software IoT solutions
• Define and implement unit, functional and integration tests
• Review other engineers’ code development 
• Write technical documentations

 

Your expertise

You have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position and you master most of the following: 

• Java EE, Wildfly, ActiveMQ Artemis broker, Java 8+, JMS, JPA, JAX-RS, Ehcache, Quartz, CDI, Spring security
• Relational and non-relation databases and ORMs (MySQL, MongoDB, ...), Hibernate
• Network protocols such as HTTP(S), FTP(S), UDP, TCP, MQTT, Websockets
• Version control systems such as Git
• Docker, Jenkins or other automation server, Maven, Spring boot and micro-service architectures
• JAVA observability and API tracing tools would be a plus
• A frontend framework such as Angular would be a plus
• Agile/SCRUM project management method
• Team project management tools such as the Atlassian suit (Jira, Confluence, ...)

Furthermore, you put special emphasis on quality and security aspects in all your work.
