The Senior HR Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the HR Modernisation Programme. Reporting directly to the HR Modernisation Programme Manager, this role is responsible for optimising HR systems and processes, with a strong focus on Workday and ServiceNow HRSD. The successful candidate will lead at least one functional stream, coordinate business analysis activities, and ensure seamless integration of new modules and process.
Our client is undergoing a large-scale HR Modernisation Programme aimed at optimising and integrating HR systems to streamline processes and improve user experience. As part of this transformation, they are seeking a Senior HR Business Analyst (Workday & ServiceNow) to join their Basel-based team on a fixed-term assignment.
Description
Project Delivery & Implementation
- Lead business analysis activities for assigned streams, ensuring an end-to-end process overview and alignment with programme objectives.
- Define roadmaps for implementing new Workday functional areas in collaboration with HR process owners and technical teams.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements, optimising data and process flows.
- Provide subject matter expertise on Workday and ServiceNow HRSD to design end-to-end solutions and clean configurations.
- Support functional configuration, document process flows, and oversee integrated systems implementation.
- Manage data preparation, cleansing, and quality control across project phases.
- Troubleshoot system issues, conduct root cause analyses, and escalate where required.
- Build and deliver training content to support system adoption.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify areas for improvement across the HR systems landscape, researching trends to drive enhancements.
- Deploy new features and functionalities in Workday and ServiceNow HRSD to simplify and optimise processes.
- Guide data integrity initiatives, develop audit strategies, and support consistent practices across user groups.
- Partner with HR teams to resolve process-related issues and ensure system optimisation.
- Test new system releases and upgrades, ensuring smooth operations and adoption.
Profile
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within HR or HRIS, interacting with various HR functions (recruitment, talent, HRBP, operations).
- Strong background in HR systems implementation, ideally with Workday, and familiarity with ATS and Talent Management systems.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive HR processes and data with discretion.
- Experience in HR data management, process optimisation, and supporting change initiatives.
- Solid technology skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and the ability to quickly adapt to new tools.
- Hands-on experience supporting testing phases (UAT, functional, integration) and delivering HR systems training.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Broad exposure to multiple HR systems and processes, with knowledge of HR service delivery, legal compliance, and GDPR.
- Advanced Workday HCM administration experience.
- Workday Pro Certification is a plus.
