Program Director – Application Modernization and Cloud Migration, 100%
Your mission:
Drive Client’s strategic Cloud Migration Initiative across client’s organization and oversee the planning, implementation, operations, improvements, and management of multiple large cloud programs.
Work in close partnership with the Wipro Global Business Line and Service Line teams to bring the One Wipro execution focus and lead the delivery of integrated and transformational deals.
Engage with customer at the CXO/CXO-1 level and their business partners to provide solution for complex problems and build IT strategies aligned to Wipro strategy and goals.
Your tasks will include:
- Program Management
- Develop and implement Public Cloud Migration program goals, objectives, and strategies in alignment with the customer organization's mission and vision.
- Ensure that programs are compliant with Swiss laws, regulations and internal policies and meet all contractual commitments.
- Develop and manage program budgets (P&L) across multiple programs, ensuring that resources cost is within the allocated budget.
- Conduct regular governance meeting with customers and communicate program updates, progress, and challenges to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
- Identify and manage risks that could affect the program's success and take steps to mitigate them.
- Supervise all program and project managers to ensure cross-geographic synergies and conduct regular delivery reviews to prevent schedule overruns.
- Relationship Building and Business Development
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with program stakeholders in Switzerland and globally, including sponsors, partners, clients, and other key stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of the customer organization's overall strategy and direction; become a trusted IT advisor to the customer.
- Identify new application modernization opportunities and showcase Wipro’s solutions as a strategic fit for the customer organisation through workshops, presentations and executive meetings to win new projects.
- Negotiate contract renewals for existing programs and negotiate the scope, budget and engagement model for new engagements[TK1] [LG2] .
- Act as escalation point at engagement level.
- Resource Management
- Orchestrate internal resources in sales and delivery to give the customer an enhanced delivery experience.
- Oversee and manage program staff, ensuring that team members have the necessary skills and resources to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
- Identify opportunities to improve program effectiveness and efficiency and implement changes to drive continuous improvement.
Skills and experience:
- Master’s degree in IT/relevant field or equivalent.
- 15+ years [TK3] [LG4] of overall experience in IT industry.
- At least 10 years of experience in managing large Application Modernization and Public Cloud Migration [TK5] [LG6] programs in the field of IT professional services.
- Proven ability to lead large cross-functional/technical teams across locations and stakeholders (100+ FTE).[TK7]
- Experience in global service delivery models and various commercial models which are widely adopted for delivery of IT services for large B2B Enterprise customers.
- Understanding of legacy and evolving technologies especially the Public Cloud services and Industry trends.
- Understanding of Agile, Waterfall processes and solid knowledge of software development lifecycle.
- Outstanding and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and quick-thinker with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced work environment, as well as good presentation and planning skills.
- Excellent coordination skills to pull the necessary resources within the delivery organization and provide the required leadership to the team to find the optimal solution.
- Strong, proven people management skills with emphasis on talent nurturing and skill development and focus on customer satisfaction and high performance.
- Knowledge of European/ Switzerland B2B enterprise IT market preferred.
- Language skills: excellent fluency in English.
